Kirk has been designing and animating logos, characters and visual effects in the Bay Area since 1986. He's also directed and produced live action for green screen shoots, commercials and long-format television shows.
He is currently Senior Art Director at Native Instinct, a global interactive design agency where he leads art direction with a special emphasis on rich media, video and motion graphics. Recently, he was responsible for art direction of VISA’s Mobile Demo Kit, RingWorld’s RingGuide Television Interface, Salesforce Foundation’s Website, Wells Fargo's vSafe Demo Site and Pure Digital’s Flip Video Camcorder Website.
He is a veteran designer, videographer, and animator for film and television and an Emmy Award-winning designer who has a proven track record in all creative aspects of the industry. He has worked in commercial production, television and on several feature films including Pirates of the Caribbean, Sin City, Night at the Museum, and Aeon Flux. While at Industrial Light and Magic’s (ILM) commercial division, and at The Orphanage, he accomplished some of his favorite commercial work, including work for Pepsi and Hewlett-Packard.
He has been an Art Director, Animator, Texture Painter, Technical Director, Computer Graphics Supervisor and Sequence Supervisor.
Kirk has a degree in Film and Television Production from the University of British Columbia.
Kirk is a native of Quebec, Canada.
